This Support Group Edition was created to help people living with chronic kidney disease and their care partners feel more connected. Inside, you’ll find an easy list of upcoming support groups and events—many of them virtual, so you can join from wherever you are, whenever it works for you. Talking with others who truly understand what you're going through can be more comforting and helpful than you might expect. These free support groups are a welcoming space to share, listen, and build new friendships.

Renal Support Network (RSN) Kidney Talk Live (July and August)

The Renal Support Network (RSN) is hosting an in-person lunch meeting where you can connect with your peers, learn tips for your kidney care, and have a chance to win raffle prizes. Following lunch there will be a social gathering.

Supporting our Chronic Kidney Struggles (S.O.C.K.S) Support Group Meetings - Michigan

The National Kidney Foundation of Michigan is hosting a virtual support group for individuals living with kidney disease. Join this group to share and discuss the issues, challenges, and triumphs faced by others like you. You need to fill out a short form before your first meeting and the organizers will reach out to you.

IGA Nephropathy Foundation Patient Support Group

The IgA Nephropathy Foundation’s mission is to be a patient-centric organization focused on finding a cure for IgA Nephropathy. Using the power of the patient community, they are focused on funding research, using patient advocacy to empower patients, and build a network of support.

All Kidney Patients Support Group (AKPSG) Meeting, Florida

This support group is based in Florida and holds this support group meeting the last Sunday of every month. This group also helps support the community with kidney friendly free food distributions.

TransplantLyfe Transplant Support Group Meetings - New York

The group is open to those waiting for a transplant, going through the process and those who have received their transplant. Care partners of patients are welcome to join as well.

NKF Kidney PEERS

The National Kidney Foundation (NKF) PEERS is a program where kidney patients, living donors, or care partners can connect over the phone with a trained mentor. Mentors are people who have been there themselves and can help others by sharing their experiences.
