The National Kidney Foundation of Michigan is hosting a virtual support group for individuals living with kidney disease.  Join this group to share and discuss the issues, challenges, and triumphs faced by others like you.

Kidney Personal Action Toward Health (Kidney-PATH) training for people looking to manage their CKD. 

This is an 8-week workshop for participants who are in various stages of Chronic Kidney Disease. The first six weeks focus on overall healthy living, with two additional sessions that cover kidney specific content. The first six weeks were developed by Stanford University under the program name: Chronic Disease Self-Management Program. The last two weeks were developed by the National Kidney Foundation -Michigan chapter and instructors include members of S.O.C.K.S..


There are two different workshop tracks based on the dates that are most convenient for you. Join the next information session to learn more.

NKF Michigan: Kids Camp for kids with CKD & transplant recipients is open for registration

That National Kidney Foundation of Michigan Kids Camp is a great opportunity to let your child have some fun in a safe environment! The camp has a dedicated team of medical volunteers that are on hand 24/7 to oversee the campers and attend to their medical requirements – including medication administration and dialysis if needed throughout their stay.


Registration open through June 30th.

When: August 3-8, 2025

Where: YMCA Camp Copneconic – Fenton, MI

For: Kids ages 8 -16 years old with kidney disease or a transplant

All Kidney Patients Support Group (AKPSG) Monthly Meeting in Florida

This support group is based in Florida and holds this support group meeting the last Sunday of every month. This group also helps support the community with kidney friendly free food distributions.

The group is open to those waiting for a transplant, going through the process and those who have received their transplant. Care partners of patients are welcome to join as well.

NKF Upcoming Kidney Walks Several Kidney Walk events are taking place in May across the country. The Kidney Walk is organized by the National Kidney Foundation (NKF), and is a fundraiser and awareness event that raises funds for kidney disease research, advocacy, and transplantation.
